New 2460XP – TRACK in North Carolina

Back to Home

The Beast® Model 2460XP track will out perform all other grinders in its size class. The 2460XP is equipped with a 60” wide by 30” diameter cuttermill and a 24″ high x 60″ wide mill opening. This machine uses a 30-tooth cuttermill running Bandit’s saw-tooth style cutterbodies that regulate the size of the tooth’s bite. Most of the material is sized in the initial cut, so material exits the large screening area quicker.

A Caterpillar C13B, 536 horsepower engine is standard and a wide variety of tooth and screen options are available to adequately process and size material. Two side screens are easily changed by being removed from the side of the machine.

A Caterpillar 320BL steel track undercarriage is standard and all track and grinding functions are controlled via a wireless radio remote control with tether back-up.

A secondary and primary discharge allows material to exit the grinding chamber quickly and features a magnetic head pulley at the end for separating nails from the mulch pile. A 11′ 8″ long x 60″ infeed with double slat design track style infeed conveyor provides ample room for feeding a wide variety of material. A 20″ diameter feed wheel further assists with pulling material into the mill.

Hydraulic pump shop is unmatched. I made the mistake of going somewhere else before bringing my pump here. These guys were more than helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to help me find a solution for my problem even when it didn’t benefit them. This is how businesses should be run. I won’t go anywhere else.

Too bad Poole Cat Field Service is better at invoicing than actually getting my machines moving.

A prompt and courteous technician arrived, and correctly diagnosed two problems with my mini Ex. Thank you. I corrected those problems, but machine still did not work.

He diagnosed a fuel problem as a clogged filter, rather than a bad fuel pump which I managed to diagnose. I also figured out, via help on the internet, that the fuel shut-off solenoid was bad.

Machine runs fine now. So my advice is to check the internet, before letting Poole charge you $870 for a two hour field visit. And you can find a perfectly fine aftermarket fuel pump for $20 rather than the $250 that Poole charges... and it arrives faster,

Need to teach a tech how to drive a service truck. Around 2:48 on highway 40 east, the truck pictured (plate ending in 8236) flew across 3 lanes of traffic to meet the Cleveland rd exit. Almost hit a semi and caused me to swerve with my children in the car. Glad making the exit was more important than children’s lives.
