About the Micro Bird D-Series Propane Bus

Micro Bird is part of Blue Bird, a family-owned and operated company that has made a name for itself by focusing on quality, innovative design, customer satisfaction and safety. Our line of Micro Bird buses helps businesses and schools reach their sustainability goals and save money with low running costs.

A Micro Bird D-Series propane bus is a state-of-the-art vehicle with a seating capacity of up to 28 passengers, making it ideal for shuttle services, church outings, field trips and athletic events.

The D-Series propane bus has a robust structure made from one-piece galvanized steel roof bows to boost passenger safety. The passenger compartment has superior insulation to reduce noise when cruising on the highway.

Benefits of the Micro Bird D-Series Propane Bus

Micro Bird D-series buses come with various benefits, including:

    • Enhanced visibility: The D-Series propane bus has a standard 32-inch electric double-opening door for optimal visibility. It also offers an unobstructed window and a glass entrance door.
    • Improved protection against the elements: These propane buses offer superb protection against the elements, with high-grade plywood attached to a galvanized aluminum or steel subfloor. The floors are completely sealed off to ensure the passenger compartment is free of outside elements like dust, noise and moisture.
    • A durable build: The D-series propane buses feature six longitudinal structural beams held together by galvanized steel. They also have heavy-duty galvanized steel and aluminum side panels. These high-quality fittings add durability and offer superior protection for passengers.
    • Enhanced passenger safety: The D-series propane bus offers a reinforced rear door and a buffer zone for impact protection. A heavy-gauge steel side further improves passenger safety.
    • Superior comfort: The Micro Bird D-series propane buses have a 93-inch-wide body. This extra-wide body creates more room for passengers, which helps enhance their comfort. Broader aisles also improve comfort by allowing easy movement in and out of the bus.
    • Reduced maintenance cost: The D-series propane bus features gravel shield protection for improved vehicle longevity. Its robust mounting blocks effectively absorb energy, reducing the need for repairs — and the associated costs.

Hydraulic pump shop is unmatched. I made the mistake of going somewhere else before bringing my pump here. These guys were more than helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to help me find a solution for my problem even when it didn’t benefit them. This is how businesses should be run. I won’t go anywhere else.

Too bad Poole Cat Field Service is better at invoicing than actually getting my machines moving.

A prompt and courteous technician arrived, and correctly diagnosed two problems with my mini Ex. Thank you. I corrected those problems, but machine still did not work.

He diagnosed a fuel problem as a clogged filter, rather than a bad fuel pump which I managed to diagnose. I also figured out, via help on the internet, that the fuel shut-off solenoid was bad.

Machine runs fine now. So my advice is to check the internet, before letting Poole charge you $870 for a two hour field visit. And you can find a perfectly fine aftermarket fuel pump for $20 rather than the $250 that Poole charges... and it arrives faster,

Need to teach a tech how to drive a service truck. Around 2:48 on highway 40 east, the truck pictured (plate ending in 8236) flew across 3 lanes of traffic to meet the Cleveland rd exit. Almost hit a semi and caused me to swerve with my children in the car. Glad making the exit was more important than children’s lives.
