2016 Triangle Walk to Defeat ALS

Back to Blog

Gregory Poole Equipment Company participated in the 2016 Triangle Walk to Defeat ALS® Saturday, April 23rd at Halifax Mall in downtown Raleigh to do their part in the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease. This year we were a Triangle ALS Corporate Walk Sponsor, and partnered with Caterpillar Building and Construction Products Division located in Cary to help honor Ed Rapp, a dynamic 29 year Cat Management Leader who was recently diagnosed with ALS.

Gregory Poole employees contributed $7,955 to the local ALS chapter, Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter, to make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Gregory Poole Equipment Company will also match the funds raised by the GPEC Triangle ALS team by making a matching donation of $7,955 to Stay Strong (https://staystrongvsals.com/) a 501c organization started by Ed Rapp to help fund research for an ALS cure.
