CTSM and CTGM Series Manual Transfer Switches

Back to Home

Some emergency power installations require multiple automatic transfer switches, each feeding a specific load. In many installations where noncritical loads are being served, specifications may call for manual or non-automatic transfer switches. This method is used because operating personnel are present and the loads are not of a critical nature requiring unattended automatic operation.

Because of the less critical function of this equipment, no specific industry requirements have been established. As a result, devices such as double throw disconnect switches have been used. Since the non-automatic transfer switches are part of the emergency power supply system, they should have the same UL 1008 electrical ratings as the automatic transfer switches feeding the more critical loads. In the event of a short circuit, the non-automatic transfer switches must have the same withstand current ratings as the automatic transfer switches and they must be as rugged and dependable.

Dalton was very helpful, The road construction, however, was not! 😂I would rather have to sand paper an alligators @$$ in a phone booth that to get in that mess again.

I purchased a used C-15 from a customer of Greg Pool was a running take out. I picked up the engine from the Greg Pool Cat near Nags Head NC. They started they had done all service on this engine stated the hours and all items replaced during the life of engine under their care. I just recently put the engine in my boat after 2 years of building the vessel I find that everything they said about the engine was a LIE!!! Turbo was Bad, After cooler was not updated to the newer version for the C-15 it was missing a terminal Resistor that was clearly stolen off the engine which created a major issue with start up upon installation. Greg Pool Caterpillar stated the hours at 3300 we find out there were 5700 hours. I didn’t do a start up or test run which I regret because i was dealing with a Caterpillar dealer i thought i could trust them. Clearly not Buyers Be Ware if your dealing with Greg Pool Caterpillar in NC. I have 3 of the C-15 engines in my Work boats here in Tampa Fl and my Cat dealership here is Ring power who have done an amazing job to get me going with this Engine. I am very Disappointed in The Caterpillar company for allowing such A dealership to exist.
