• Special guards — One of the most persistent sources of machine wear while handling waste is the damage caused by loose items flying up into sensitive components. That’s a large part of why conventional equipment doesn’t last long in these environments, and a key reason why all Cat waste handling machines feature special guards to prevent damage to engine, transmission and undercarriage components.
• Variable pitch/reverse fans — Even with special guarding installed, waste handling applications can put increased demands on your cooling system.
