CUSTOMER TRAINING

Fees and Enrollment$250.00 per student per day.  Fee includes lunch and literature handouts. Classes have limited enrollment. Full payment or a PO is needed to confirm your reservation.

Class Hours:  Scheduled classes start at 8:00 a.m. and are usually 8 hours per day.

Course List

Tier 4

This course will give the student or technician a basic understanding of the regulations, components and troubleshooting.

Machine Specific Training

This course will familiarize the student will of the new features of the machine. 

Customer Cat ET and SIS

This course will familiarize the student will all of the new features and basic operation of the programs.

Operational Maintenance

The contents of this course focus on reducing downtime and improving work habits by teaching proper maintenance procedures and correct methods of maintaining machine systems.

Basic Engine Troubleshooting

The focus of this course is to introduce the components and system operations of this engine type. Fuel system adjustments (timing and synchronization) will be covered and performance testing and troubleshooting is featured.

Machine Hydraulics I

This course will give the student a basic understanding of hydraulic schematics and components. The student will gain knowledge of schematic symbols and diagrams. As well as how they relate to actual machine diagnostics. The class will consist of class lecture and discussion as well as some hand-on.

Machine Hydraulics II

This Course expands on the materials covered in the Machine Hydraulics I class, with emphasis on hydraulic theory, circuits and trouble shooting. The class will primary be hands-on, with the student building circuits, and performing tests on them. Prerequisite: Machine Hydraulics I

Basic Failure Analysis

This course is an overview of the failure analysis concepts and methodology used in conducting an investigation of failed components and/or machines. Specific steps and techniques used to gather and analyze facts about metallurgy, wear, and fractures are emphasized.

Power shift Transmissions

Principles of transmission and converters will be explained and operational components will be reviewed. The many different configurations and control systems will be covered as well as basic troubleshooting.

Machine Monitoring Sys.

The course content will include several monitoring system that will be explained and defined. Operation and components will be described: machine diagnostic procedures and basic troubleshooting will be reviewed.  

Measuring Tools

This course will cover various precision measuring devices, with emphasis on micro-meters. The student will learn to accurately use and read such measuring devices.

Hystat Systems

This course will familiarize the student with the components used in the hystat transmission system. This system is used in small track loaders, wheel loaders and dozers. The students will be able to perform pressure tests as well as interpret the results of test.

Machine Electrical I

This course will give the student a basic understanding of electrical schematics and components. The student will gain knowledge of schematic symbols and diagrams, as well as how they relate to actual machine diagnostics. The class will consist of class lecture and discussion as well as some hands-on training.

Machine Electrical II

This course expands on the materials covered in the Machine Electrical I class, with an emphasis on electrical theory, circuits, and troubleshooting. The class will be primarily hands-on, with the students building circuits and performing tests on them. Prerequisite: Machine Electrical I

Undercarriage

The Course content will give the student an understanding of the components that are used in a typical undercarriage, as well as the wear elements and factors. The student will receive materials containing various torque specifications and procedures to perform maintenance on machine undercarriages.
